Darren is a leading visionary with 16 years of esports experience which includes competing, advocating (including presenting the emergence of esports at a TedX Sydney event in 2010), leadership, development, planning, execution, live broadcast and production experience.
Darren is passionate about esports and has spent much of his adult life promoting, educating and advocating the benefits of esports. Recognizing that at its core esports brings people together from all backgrounds, crossing geographical borders, to compete across a digital medium in a shared join of video games.
Darren saw the need for enhanced governance in
esports, he founded the Australian Esports Association in 2013 and is the
current President, he was the driving force for Australian membership to the
International Esports Federation and holds broad connections in the esports
community with relations spanning the globe.
